Upcoming Show in Providence, RI

I’m thrilled to announce that I will be exhibiting at the Providence Fine Furnishings & Fine Craft Shows next month. The Fine Furnishings & Fine Craft Show presents a marketplace for extraordinary custom fine art and fine furniture designed to fit a broad range of styles. Artisans from across North American exhibit, sell, and take commissions for their handcrafted wares to the general public and interior design trade.

The Show is set to take place on October 24, 25 & 26 and is the only show of its kind in all of New England. The show will occupy Halls B, C & D at the Rhode Island Convention Center for a total of 72,000 square feet with over 250 artisans from across the North America. Show hours are 10 to 6 on Friday & Saturday, and 10 to 5 on Sunday. Adult one-day tickets are $10, any two days cost $15 and children under 12 are admitted free with an adult.

Article in the Martha’s Vineyard Times: You heard it here…the Belushi Pisano Gallery is Relocating!

The Martha’s Vineyard Times wrote an article about our gallery’s big news. We are excited to announce that we are relocating the gallery to Edgartown, MA. Starting in May 2009 the Belushi Pisano Gallery will be on Kelly Street in downtown Edgartown. We are very excited about the move to our new location and hope that you will come visit us next summer season! Our current location will remain open until October 1 – so please stop by before then and benefit from our one time sale on all our fine art.

“Songcatcher” Show @ Lark and Key Gallery

I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be participating in a very exciting show at Lark & Key Gallery in Charlotte, NC. It’s a group show with a hugely talented mix of artists that will be showcasing not only their beautiful works of art, but also the music that inspired them to create their work. If you’re in the Charlotte area – It’s a must see show!

SONGCATCHER: A VISUAL INTERPRETATION OF SOUND

JULY 4th – AUGUST 31st (opening reception Friday July 11th, 6-9pm)

Thirty (plus) artists from around the country will be offering art, pottery, jewelry – or whatever medium strikes a chord – celebrating the diversity of music and its creative influence on their work. The show also aims to expose viewers to a world of music they may not be aware of. Various bands and djs will be playing during the opening and at the gallery crawls while the exhibition is up.

In an effort to give back to the community Lark & Key will also donate a portion of sales to the Belmont Community Center YWCA Afterschool Program. We will be working with the program director to provide funds for art and music related education for the children in order to encourage their creative spirit.

New Etsy Shop Launched!

I’m excited to announce that I have just opened my new etsy shop (www.jessicapisano.etsy.com) that sells prints of my original mixed media works. I have several good friends who have etsy shops and I was glad to see that they all have been doing really well. Etsy is an enormous online venue of fantastic handmade arts and craft items. Since looking at the site I have found so many amazing works by phenomenal artists from around the globe. I highly recommend taking a peek at etsy’s artist shops. If you’re looking for unique jewelry pieces, fine art prints, cards, handmade accessories – etsy is the place to find cool original works of art!

Belushi Pisano Gallery Reopens for it’s Third Summer Season

The gallery girls at Belushi Pisano Gallery have had a nice long winter break. Me: in the studio; and my gallery coordinator (kali): on the Island enjoying herself landscaping. But it’s that time of year again – the summer season is back and we’ve reopened the gallery doors to the public. For this year’s season we’ve made a few changes. We have extended the gallery’s showroom space so there’s more art to enjoy (see the “red room” below). We have also added a few new artists including, Ellen Granter, Andrea Williams, Heather Lindsey Stewart, and Amy Craven Ward.

We are now open on a daily basis from 10am to 6pm. Closing for the winter season after Columbus Day weekend. Stop by for one of our opening receptions this summer. Our show schedule is as follows:

Annual Family Planning Art Show & Benefit

I’ll be participating in this year’s Island Art Show to benefit our local Family Planning. I’ll be exhibiting “Kona Butterfly” at the show. If you happen to be on the Vineyard the weekend – make sure you’re able to check out the show!

Lending a helping hand – donation of artwork to the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis

I was happy to recently donate one of my hand painted photographs to the Buoniconti Fund for their Silent Auction held last month in Miami at the Setai Hotel and Resort. The Buoniconti Fund is a non-profit organization committed to assisting The Miami Project achieve its national and international goals in curing paralysis.
